Returned to one of the “LEGS” series which I’ve been holding for a while to figure out what type of shoes she wore. My result is — Rainshoes!

I received so many gift from Harvey Chan, one of my best artist friend who leave for Hong Kong in the end of this month. These ceramic plates, cups, flower base and cutleries are mostly hand-maded by him and his talented friends. And I noticed that some of those cups made with the Shino glaze. Wow, look at those thick frosting white glaze! It incredibly beautiful!

I decided to accept an offer to submit my work for an upcoming art event in Tokyo.

As you may know, all the artists in Japan are still figuring out what they can do for Tohoku, the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. One of my friend graphic designer/ editor in Osaka launched her new project called “Machi Omoi Cho” which released as hand made book that showing her love and thoughts for her hometown. I’d really like my work into book but something extraordinary.

Did some Batik art for Dodo‘s album cover.
Batik technique is relate to both Japan and Africa. Think it’s a great marriage.

Tear a virgin organic cotton canvas up and draw a line by ball-point pen directly onto it.

Today is 11/11/11. Some friends on my fb crazy about it because it won’t happen again for a hundred years. So what?

Before heading home for a dinner, I stopped by YYZ Gallery at 401 to check local artist’s book launch event. I usually don’t open an email from someone I don’t know but somehow her email appeared on my mail box and notice I heard her name somewhere. I thought I must find out who she is before delete it. So I googled her name along with my name like a geeky guy and found out a truth we have so many mutual friends in Toronto’s art scene. Okay, I finally opened her email, invitation for her book launch event. The book called Unspent Love is simple but elegant, nicely bounded book. I like her line of drawings and style. So I brought one home.
